Alex Curran in Ibiza

Alex Curran and Steven Gerrard are proving the internet rumours about the state of their marriage are nonsense by looking incredibly happy whilst on holiday in Ibiza with their two daughters and mutual friends.

Having been on a special diet and exercise programme for the past few months Alex looked toned and tanned in a skimpy black bikini before changing into a white short dress to board a chartered 17-metre Nautichic Pearl, 55 which costs from 1,500 Euros a day to rent for an afternoon cruise.

Alex wrote in her OK! column: “I was trying to go to the gym as much as possible before the break to get in shape for the beach but I still feel a bit wobbly, which I’m devastated about.

“Although as soon as we arrived, we relaxed and started pigging out! We’ve had a few barbecues and we’ve been out for a few meals.”

We are really glad the Gerrard’s look happy! We don’t want to lose our uber WAG!

We’ve all heard the rumours about the state of Alex and Steven Gerrard’s marriage but we have tried to ignore them, although secretly thought to ourselves that there is no smoke without fire.

We’ve heard everything from Alex Curran’s supposed affair with a Derby County footballer to Steven Gerrard’s affair with a 16 year old and finally the rumour that Steven has gotten Alex’s younger sister pregnant.

The rumours have also been blamed for England’s poor performance in the World Cup because of tension between John Terry and Steven Gerrard due to Terry being angry that he lost his captaincy due to cheating on his wife however Steven being named captain of the team even though he had gotten Alex’s sister pregnant.

However ALL of these rumours have been dismissed as “rubbish” by insiders and the fact that Alex Curran doesn’t even have a sister should lay these lies to rest. Rumours also stated that there was an injunction to stop the News of the World printing these stories, however Gerrard’s lawyer has confirmed that there has been no attempt to secure an injunction.

Gosh! How dramatic, well only time will tell! We are keeping an eye out for the Sunday paper’s tomorrow, however have always hoped and believed these stories are fake. Why would Alex go for a Derby County player when she has Steven Gerrard? Surely that’s like having a Little Chef hamburger when you have a steak at home (no offence Little Chef)?!

Alex Curran proud of Steven

Alex Curran is now a member of the News of the World team and will have a weekly column throughout the World Cup! Fantastic! In this week’s she tells us about how proud she is of husband Steven Gerrard’s performance in yesterdays match in the World Cup against USA where Steven scored the first goal.

“For Steven to have scored the first goal for England in the World Cup was just a dream come true for all of us. It was so exciting. The atmosphere in the stadium must have been electric – it was tense enough at my barbecue in Liverpool!

That goal will be a memory we will treasure for ever. I can’t wait for our girls to be old enough to really understand what a star their daddy was last night.

They know he’s away working, playing football, but they’re really too young to get very excited about it all.

It was also so amazing to see so many England fans out there. I know they will have really lifted the team.

I spent the whole evening completely nervous. The game was amazing. We were all terribly downcast when America equalised. I had my head in my hands. But at least we didn’t lose. At the end of the day it’s better than that at least! Afterwards it was time to get our breath back and have a drink, I can tell you.

I had my mum and brother there, and all my friends. Steven’s mum and some of his friends popped in too. I’d decorated the house with England flags on Friday, to get into the spirit.

Last night our two kids (Lilly, six, and Lexie, four) also wore their England football shirts with “Daddy” printed on the back. I let them stay up to watch the game.

During the day I prepared food for the barbecue, to take my mind off what was to come. There were loads of salads, burgers, potatoes, hot dogs, chicken, prawns and tomato relish. I decided to come off my healthy-eating regime and just go for it. When I’m nervous I’m more likely to eat. I’ve been at home a lot, bored, so I’d already eaten a lot earlier in the week. I was drinking vodka with lime and soda. When Steven scored his goal I was so excited I almost dropped my glass! Earlier in the day he’d phoned us, and I texted him just before the game to wish him luck. I always do that, no matter where he is.

Even though the kids are quite loud, the house does feel quiet at the moment. It feels weird that Steven is not here day in, day out. It’s sad coming home and the house being empty. I feel like I haven’t moved all week and I’ve been bored out my head. I’m missing Steven a little bit and feel a bit lonely, to be honest. It sounds like I should be on Jeremy Kyle!
The girls are starting to miss Steven a bit more too.

Lilly is back at school, which is good because she’s occupied. But she and Lexie keep asking when he’s coming home. I keep explaining, “Daddy’s playing football,” and they understand he can be away for a long time. There’s been some talk the FA might organise a trip for the families in time for the semi-finals. That would be great. Fingers crossed.

For now, I’m thinking about what I’m going to do for the next game. I may go to a friend’s. But because last night went so well, I might organise another barbecue at mine. Come on, England!”

Alex Curran not on Twitter

Martin Wilson was jailed this week for seven years and four months after admitting the violent bulglary at Alex Curran and Steven Gerrard’s home while Alex was home and Steven was playing in a football match in December 2007.

Alex was seen after the announcement looking delighted and had apparently taken to ‘her’ Twitter account to tell the world of her excitement.

The twitter account said: “Had a lovely day in Southport. “HE” went to Jail – I’m happy.’
When asked by a fan who she was talking about she replied: “The horrible scum who broke in to my house.”

However, in Alex’s column in the News of the World she has hit back saying it wasn’t her that said that and that she had never been on Twitter before. She said:

“I WAS really upset to read elsewhere I’d supposedly written on Twitter that the men who robbed mine and Steven’s home were “scum”. To set the record straight, I’m not commenting on the burglary at all, and I’ve never Tweeted in my life.

“I wouldn’t know where to start and – to be honest with you – I’m really not so interesting that I need to let everyone know what I’m doing every minute of every day!”

So don’t be fooled- Alex Curran is NOT on Twitter.

Alex Curran burgled

This truly is the negative side of being a WAG! Unfortunately, we have seen a number of WAGS being threatened in their own homes while their husbands or boyfriends are away playing for their football teams, and Alex Curran’s horrific experience in December 2007 was finally taken to Liverpool Crown court last week.

The court heard how Alex was threatened by burglars who warned her they would “take her kids”.
Alex Curran came face to face with the masked gang, who demanded she hand over jewellery and the contents of a safe during the break-in at their £3million mansion.
The gang “dragged” a horrified Miss Curran to the safe and forced her to hand over the valuable silver Rolex watch she was wearing.
They escaped through patio doors which they had smashed to gain entry to the 29-year-old Liverpool captain’s home.
Details of the ordeal emerged after career criminal Martin Wilson, 22, changed his plea and admitted the burglary at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday.
Graham Pickavance, prosecuting, told the court the robbery happened in December 2007 when Gerrard was in France, leading his team to victory in a Champions’ League match against Marseille while Alex stayed in their Liverpool home with her children and nanny.
At around 9.30pm Alex and the nanny who were upstairs in the Gerrard’s home, heard a loud smash and went to the landing to investigate, Mr Pickavance said. They saw a group of men in the hallway and Miss Curran shouted to them to “leave now”.
But, the barrister said, the thieves raced up the stairs and demanded: “Where’s the f****** safe?’ and ‘Where’s the f****** jewellery?”
One of the gang directed another to “get the blade out of the car”, before telling poor Alex: “If you don’t tell us where the safe is, we’ll take the kids.”
Mr Pickavance said: “The men attempted to take the safe but they could not move it very far because it was too heavy. So they began to ransack the room.”
Alex’s nanny then picked up a telephone and tried to dial 999, but she was caught before she could get through. She lied to the raiders, however, telling them she had spoken to an operator.
The gang fled but police tracked down Wilson through his mobile phone. He is currently serving a six-year jail term after admitting being part of a gang that robbed wealthy Merseysiders last June.
After the burglary Alex who did not attend yesterday’s hearing, wrote in a newspaper column that it had been “absolutely terrifying”.

“Lilly and Lexie were my biggest concern. Thankfully, they are absolutely fine, they managed to sleep through the whole thing thank goodness.”
A victim impact statement described her continuing “shock and fright”.
Steven Gerrard was the sixth Liverpool footballer to be targeted, prompting the club to provide extra security at players’ houses during away matches.
This is awful, and really does show what the WAGS have to go through sometimes! It isn’t all handbags and designer clothes!

Alex Curran new restaurant opening

Alex Curran showed her marriage with Steven Gerrard was definitely not on the rocks this week by supporting the relaunch of a bar which Steven has helped finance.

Looking fabulous as she arrived at the Warehouse Kitchen and Bar in Southport Alex wore a short beige dress an brown incredibly high heels which made her tower over husband Steven.

Other stars who turned out to the opening included Claire Sweeney, actress Sheree Murphy and Dutch-born Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt and wife Gertrude.

Steven said: “Hopefully, this will be a project and we can expand and take it to different areas because this is a fantastic place to come and spend time.

“When you’re married you treat your missus and bring her into eat – and I come in here with the boys now and again.”

Alex Curran Bargain Booze

When we think about Alex Curran drinking alcohol we immediately think about her sipping Cristal champagne and expensive cocktails so this photo of her coming out of a Bargain Booze has kind of ruined the fantasy about how the ‘other half live’.

Looking stylishly chic and wearing killer wedge sandals, Alex looked every inch of the WAG that we know and love after spending time in nearby Vinci bar with friends, Alex made a particular point to show photographers that she was wearing her wedding ring after being caught without it the day before.

Alex made up for her tightness in Bargain Booze by driving away in her £175,000 Aston Martin- maybe Steven Gerrard has put her on a budget after splashing the cash on the car?

Alex Curran banned from World Cup

This is NOT good news! Mean Steven Gerrard has told wife Alex Curran that she is banned from the early stages of the World Cup tournament.

Steven, who has replaced John Terry as captain in tonights friendly game against Egypt said in a press conference this afternoon: “I don’t know if having the WAGs there affected our performance last time.

“I can’t tell you that, but my wife won’t be there this time, not unless we get to the semis or the final. She’s got two kids who’ll be in school and it’s a long way away. If we get to the semis, she deserves to come and see me.”

This comes after news yesterday that Coleen Rooney isn’t planning on going to watch the games because she wants to stay at home with baby Kai and watch Wayne’s performance on TV.

We hope not all the players put this ban on the WAGS otherwise it is going to be a very boring World Cup!!!

Alex Curran and Steven Gerrard

We’ve not seen much of Alex Curran and Steven Gerrard out together lately so it is nice to see them watching the Liverpool v. Manchester game together on Sunday as Steven was unable to play due to nursing a groin injury.
Although Liverpool won the game by two goals, Alex and Steven look like they are struggling to enjoy the game- perhaps they were embarrassed by the fact they chose to wear his and her versions of the same leather jackets. Had they not noticed before they left the house?
