We are gutted that as Manchester residents, we didn’t sort ourselves out and organise Calender Girls tickets, as Danielle Lineker is in Manchester performing at The Palace Theatre with the rest of the cast.

Copying style techniques from Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole, Danielle wore a thick woolly hat as she arrived in Manchester looking not overly happy with husband Gary Lineker. What could have caused Danielle to be so unhappy? The Calendar Girls tour has won rave reviews and the show’s box offices gross recently hit a combined total of £21 million across the country- so we think she best cheer up!

Has anyone seen Danielle in the tour? Any good?

Danielle Lineker documentary

Danielle Lineker is set to star in her own documentary – Danielle Lineker- My New Stepfamily where she looks into her life and the life of new husband, Gary Lineker and his two sons.

Speaking about the documentary which will be shown on July 20th on BBC3, Danielle explains: “It’s a massive shock to go from being a single mum on your own to having four teenage boys. It’s really nerve-racking!”

“Ideally, nobody wants to be part of a stepfamily. You’d have to be a fool to think you’re going to walk into a family and it’s all going to work. That’s not going to happen. Life doesn’t work like that.

“Kids are hard work. If the stepfamily doesn’t work out, the whole thing breaks down. There’s no relationship any more. Because I was a stepchild, I thought I was understanding and knew how it was.

“But filming this has made me realise I’ve forgotten quite a lot. I’d like to be able to love them like they’re my own kids. And that’s something you build towards.”

“‘Getting married gives the kids the message that we’re in a proper relationship. I’m not just here for six months, then I might just b****r off tomorrow. They know that’s not going to happen.”

“I definitely want to see how other people manage the situations, to see if I’m managing it correctly. I don’t want them [Lineker’s children] to say, “We don’t want to go round to Dad’s house because all she does is nag.” ”

Yay! We love watching Danielle on TV and it will be great to see her open up about her past and about her new life with Gary and his family. We think it would be cool to have Danielle as a step mum, so it will be nice to see what Gary’s sons who are 18, 17, 14 and 13 years old actually think!

Danielle Lineker goes green

Danielle Lineker has been busy lately, but that doesn’t stop her doing her bit to change the world for the better! Today is Green Britain Day and Danielle joined Jamelia and Lauren Lavern to join forces with the EDF campaign as ‘Team Green Britain’ ambassadors.

As EDF are backing London 2012, Green Britain Day acts as a good excuse to cheer on the England World Cup team ahead of tomorrow’s match against Algeria so do what Danielle Lineker tells you to and switch off the TV instead of setting it to standby and make sure you turn all your lights off when you’re not using them!

Is Simon Cowell taking WAG Danielle Lineker under his wing? Danielle joined Simon and Amanda Holden in Simon’s private box at the Royal Ascot yesterday wearing a Victoria Beckham tight grey shift dress and matching Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat.

Simon Cowell has transformed the careers of many budding TV personalities including Pierce Morgan, Amanda Holden and Cheryl Cole so Danielle Lineker can only benefit from befriending one of the most powerful men in television! Can you imagine Danielle as a judge on X-Factor?

Danielle Lineker wants WAGS World Cup

Danielle Lineker has shown our WAGS support by critisising Fabio Capello’s decision of banning them from this years World Cup.

Danielle said: “The WAG thing, well obviously at the last World Cup people said it was a distraction,”

“I think it’s nice that they are there to support them and for the players it’s nice to know that they have someone watching them,”

Danielle admitted she’ll be in the stands too – wearing the St George’s cross despite her Welsh roots. “I will definitely be supporting England. Just because I’m Welsh I think it’s silly not to support England, whether you’re Irish, Scottish, whatever, you should get behind the boys.”

Meanwhile, Danielle has hit out at size zero models after becoming the face of Hovis Hearty Oats bread.

“I think lots of models do take it to the extreme and it’s honestly not a good example by any means to young girls. There’s nothing wrong with being curvy – that’s the way it should be.”

You can’t disagree with Danielle on either of these points! Bring back WAGS World Cup Fabio- banning them isn’t fair!

Danielle Lineker is taking advantage of the busy WAGS period by becoming the face of Hovis bread and posing as Marilyn Monroe in their new advertising campaign.

Dressed in a light blue silk dress with hearts and a stylish pair of white, elbow length gloves Danielle recreates a pose from the famous Gentlemen Prefer Blondes image.

With only days to go before Danielle and Gary Lineker jet off to South Africa for their World Cup TV coverage, on of the most glamorous celeb couples took a last minute shopping trip taking advantage of the gorgeous sunshine in their new BMW convertible.

Danielle Bux was the perfect accessory for the England legend’s sports car and the pair cruised around Notting Hill in matching aviator sunglasses.
Wearing matching aviator sunglasses, Gary watched as his wife filled the BMW’s boot with bags of new clothes and shopping.

As we reported earlier, Danielle has been signed up as GMTV’s eyes and ears for the World Cup so probably used this as her excuse for the extensive shopping trip!

And while Danielle is presenting her gig, which has been labelled as a unique guide to the tournament in South Africa, her husband Gary will be working for the BBC, heading their TV coverage of the competition.

A source told The Sun: “It’s funny the Lineker’s are presenting coverage for rival channels. Danielle will look at fashion – from the squad’s suits to what a footballer packs in his suitcase – and what goes on behind the scenes.”

The BBC is starting to decide on this years Strictly Come Dancing stars and rumours have it that they are trying their best to line up Gary Lineker and wife Danielle! Woohoo! This would be absolutely fantastic!

Corporation chiefs are pinning their hopes on the high profile couple to inject some glamour into the show after last year’s lacklustre series. Apparently, BBC programme-makers are aware they need a better cast for the show this year if they are not to fall even further behind The X Factor. Well there’s no-one better to help glam up a programme than a WAG!

Senior bosses are understood to have begun talks with the pair about signing up for this year’s series, which is also set to be given a wide-ranging face-lift. No deal has been done but it is thought that if Lineker and his wife are keen then the plans should go ahead.

A potential sticking point will be that Gary’s Saturday night Match Of The Day commitments would be affected and he would have to take time off from the show for the duration of Strictly Come Dancing.

Lets hope and pray that the BBC manage to pull this off! We have a feeling that someone in the BBC loves WAGS, what with Christine Bleakley (The One Show), Louise Redknapp (Something for the Weekend) and now Danielle Lineker!

Sophie Reade dumps George Lineker

Aww, our hearts go out to poor Gary Lineker’s son, George. He’s been dumped by glamour model girlfriend and Big Brother star, Sophie Reade after dating her for about two months!

Sophie broke it off with George, who’s dad had previously expressed his worries over the relationship as he felt it was affecting George’s studies, as she has now moved on to former Coronation Street star Lucien Laviscount (we watch Corrie everyday and don’t remember him though).

In what will come as another blow to the teen, she was seen kissing the actor, who played Ben Richardson in the soap, outside London nightclub Alto last night.

George posted a message on his Facebook site on the internet warning people to “mind their own business” and replaced a photo of the couple together with a picture of himself on his profile while friends left messages of support, offering him get-away breaks and told him to “keep his chin up”.

A close friend told how George, who suffered from leukaemia as a child, said: “They were really close and almost like best friends.They had been out together loads of times but Sophie decided she wanted to see other people.
“George had introduced her to his dad and she got on really well with his friends.

“But both of them are young and want to see other people.”
A spokeswoman for Sophie Reade confirmed the pair were no longer a couple.

Poor George! This smells alot like Sophie was using George for a  bit of publicity!

Danielle Lineker Zuma restaurant

Danielle Lineker enjoyed a night out in London last night while Gary Lineker was working late filming Match of the Day.

Danielle looked gorgeous (and very very very tanned) as she dined at Japanese restaurant Zuma in London. We expect that Danielle and Gary are thrilled to be back home after getting stuck in Tenerife because of the volcanic ash problem, however we presume this has helped her tan get to such a tango’d stage.

We really hope that we get to see Danielle on GMTV more- she is fast becoming one of our top World Cup WAGS!
