X Factor runner up Rhydian Roberts has laid into Cheryl Cole by saying she should not be an X Factor judge as she can’t sing.
Rhydian says Cheryl is only a judge on the show because of her looks – and that acts struggle to take her comments seriously.
He raged: “She’s not a great singer and being a judge isn’t the hardest job in the world. You sit there and tell people when a note is flat. Cheryl’s eye candy. Simon’s the only judge people care about.”
Rhydian cheekily added: “I’d do it for what they get paid.”
Rhydian’s second album O Fortuna is out tomorrow, which explains why he is trying to get attention by slagging off our favourite WAG! That’s sinking low Rhydian!

I don’t believe this article. I saw Rhydian on your programme this week, and he said nothing like that! Besides, I know him, and he would never make such outrageous statements.

Well he was honest, somebody needed to say it.
She has always sung flatly, anyone remember her audition for Popstars? The judges praised her on her looks, not talent.
Her comments aren’t taken seriously, like Simons.
Neither are they useful critque (constructive) like Danni’s.
However as Cheryl is being set up as the ‘national sweetheart’ I think Rhydian would not have made those comments to promote an album, he would know that many impressionable people would snub Rhydian for pointing out the obvious.
I am a Cheryl fan, but I would be the first to admit she can’t sing very well.
& before teenagers attack my comment – No I can’t sing either, but it doesnt mean I shouldn’t point out that somebody else can or can’t. I would understand that people may not be happy with the idea that I would criticise or commend somebody elses talent (or lack of).
