It has been reported today that Nicola T has only gone into Celebrity Big Brother so that she can clear some of her huge debts!
Apparently Nicola is £35,000 in debt and is using the £50,000 fee she will earn from the Channel 4 show.
Nicola confided in a friend before entering the house on Sunday: ‘I’m almost skint. I’ve just been treating my cards like they were cash, but not realising I am not earning what I once did.’
She added: ‘I want to clear my debts and that is the reason I’m going in. I want to start married life with Simon as an equal.’
Nicola has racked up credit card bills spending on taxis, furniture for a flat in London’s Docklands and a deposit for a BMW 4×4 she once owned, says the Daily Mirror.
The source added: ‘Nic earned lots as a model, but since she met Simon that has stopped.’
Nicola lives in a £700,000 home in Epson, Surrey, with her footballing boyfriend Simon and their one-year-old daughter Poppy.
Nicola T’s spokeswoman told MailOnline: ‘Nicola went on BB mainly because it is her favourite reality show.
‘She wants to work and be independent. I cannot confirm if Nicola has debts of 35K but, she is a normal girl and has bills to pay like the majority of us.
‘She saw it as a great opportunity to further her career too.
‘As well as loving the show, she is doing the show to earn money because she wants to provide for her family and make a contribution.
‘Despite being a WAG, she isn’t the type of girl who is comfortable being a kept woman.’
