Danielle Lloyd’s brother was attacked and slashed violently after an unprovoked attack in Liverpool over the weekend.
Matthew Lloyd, 23, was enjoying a night out with friends in Liverpool city centre when an unknown man slashed him accross the face with a knife. The wound was just inches away from his eye, and the student was rushed to Liverpool’s Royal Hospital. The attack took place last week at the popular haunt Lloyds bar in Concert Square, Liverpool.
Danielle announced her shock on twitter at the time, saying: “My brother got stabbed last night in Liverpool am so upset how can someone be so violent am hating the world we live in!! So so upset.”
Matthew is now at home recovering from his ordeal and friends say the attack has shook him up. A friend of Matthew said: “Matty can’t believe it. He was standing on the stairs in the club having a drink and then next thing his face was pouring with blood.
“Someone just pulled something sharp on him and went for his face.
“He was in shock. He was ony out for a drink with his mates and then next thing he was in A&E.
“He doesn’t fancy going out in Liverpool anytime soon, he just wants to relax and get better.”
A spokesperson for Danielle confirmed: “Danielle is clearly shaken up by the attack on her brother. Thankfully Matthew is OK and his injuries are not as serious as first thought but Danielle is devastated this happened. It has brought back memories of her own attack earlier this year.”
