The BBC is starting to decide on this years Strictly Come Dancing stars and rumours have it that they are trying their best to line up Gary Lineker and wife Danielle! Woohoo! This would be absolutely fantastic!
Corporation chiefs are pinning their hopes on the high profile couple to inject some glamour into the show after last year’s lacklustre series. Apparently, BBC programme-makers are aware they need a better cast for the show this year if they are not to fall even further behind The X Factor. Well there’s no-one better to help glam up a programme than a WAG!
Senior bosses are understood to have begun talks with the pair about signing up for this year’s series, which is also set to be given a wide-ranging face-lift. No deal has been done but it is thought that if Lineker and his wife are keen then the plans should go ahead.
A potential sticking point will be that Gary’s Saturday night Match Of The Day commitments would be affected and he would have to take time off from the show for the duration of Strictly Come Dancing.
Lets hope and pray that the BBC manage to pull this off! We have a feeling that someone in the BBC loves WAGS, what with Christine Bleakley (The One Show), Louise Redknapp (Something for the Weekend) and now Danielle Lineker!
