Christine offered £2million and the Olympics to stay at BBC

Well, yesterday we were speculating about Christine Bleakley’s career and how the rumours were that she was moving to ITV for £6million however it is now being reported that she is about to sign on the dotted line with the BBC for £2million and will become the face of the BBC’s 2010 Olympics coverage.
Something is telling us we should stop listening to rumours and just wait until it is announced, but we can’t help ourselves- hurry up Christine and make your decision!
Christine’s £100,000 a year contract with the BBC doesn’t run out until October however amid all the speculation, the BBC spent yesterday proposing a new deal to Christine in a bid to keep her.
A source close to Christine said she would sign the paperwork within the next two weeks and confirmed: “Christine knows that at the BBC she will be a major player now and will be in line to get big opportunities as well as being guaranteed to front the Olympics – which would have been Adrian’s job, alongside Sue Barker.
“At ITV, she would have gone from hosting The One Show, which regularly pulls in four million, to suffering through 4am wake-up calls on GMTV, which is lucky to get a million viewers a day.
“Christine knew that it didn’t make much sense.”
We wouldn’t blame Christine for taking the BBC job, we wouldn’t want the early wake up calls which are needed for GMTV either!
