We were all a little worried that Cheryl Cole may let Ashley come home with his tail between his legs and forgive him for his affairs a second time round. She has proved us wrong though, by remaining firm and asking Ashley to leave their mansion after just 20 minutes.
Ashley arrived back at their Surrey mansion to see Cheryl for the first time in a month.
The meeting was said to be “calm and civil, with Cheryl staying in her bedroom due to ill health. Ashley was given some time to collect his belongings before Cheryl’s mum Joan, who is looking after Cheryl whilst she is suffering from bronchitis, told him it was time to leave.
Sources close to Cheryl have said she was just too ill to fight with Ashley during this meeting on Friday night and simply wants to just move on.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “Ashley’s friends had told him how sick she was and he was worried and said he wanted to see her and wish her better.
“Cheryl was taken aback by how calm and civil it was. There were no shouting matches and he didn’t beg her to take him back.
“Meeting him was a big step for her. She can now concentrate on getting better and is desperate to get back to work and focus on her career.”
The source added: “She just wants to move on.”
