Joe Cole and wife Carly Zucker have announced that they are expecting their first baby.
Joe told The Sun: “We are really happy and looking forward to the birth of our first child.”
The pair discovered they were going to be parents shortly after their lavish wedding in West London in June. Friends believe that Carly got pregnant on their Caribbean honeymoon which they actually went on before their big day back in June.
A friend of the couple said: “They are absolutely over the moon. They were desperate to start a family as soon as they got married – we knew it was just a matter of time. Joe hasn’t been able to stop smiling.”
The couple waited to tell family and friends until Carly, 25, received the all-clear from her three-month scan earlier this week.
The friend said: “They were desperate to tell everyone, but wanted to make sure everything was OK. It didn’t take us long to work out that they could well have been on their honeymoon when Carly fell pregnant.”
